Frequently Asked Questions
How do I turn the transponder off?
Hold down the power button for at least 5 seconds. You will hear the unit verbally announce "Powering down in 5..4..3..2..1" and then power off. You can cancel the shutdown by pressing the button once during this announcement.
How do I declare or cancel an emergency?
There are three ways that an emergency is declared: (1) by pressing the power button four times in rapid succession; (2) by using the mobile app to declare an emergency; and (3) by an impact of greater than 5G for 11ms or more. With the exception of an impact, the emergency declaration can be cancelled using the mobile app; alternatively, you can remove the microSD card to forcefully turn off the unit.
How do I re-zero the AHRS?
You will need to use the mobile app and select the "Gauges" tab. Next, tap the attitude gauge and select "Zero Pitch & Roll" from the action menu.
How to update the firmware?
There are two ways to update the firmware:
(1) Using the mobile app select "Settings" then select "Device Information". Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Unlock Device Settings" button and enter your password. Next, tap the "Update Firmware" button. This process may take up to 15 minutes and you must keep your mobile phone close to the transponder during the update.
(2) By downloading the firmware manually and placing it onto the microSD card. Rename the file "firmware.bin" in order for it to process the update, you must have the transponder connected to USB power. Press the power button to turn the unit on and start the update. The alert LED will flash rapidly for up to 3 minutes.
What is my transponder password?
